¿Están las cadenas de valor empresariales en reconsideración? La importancia del reshoring

Resumen

Tras la expansión geográfica de las cadenas de valor en busca de la localización óptima para cada fase del proceso productivo, las empresas han empezado a replantearse dicha expansión deshaciendo los pasos dados, en lo que se ha dado en llamar reshoring. Este trabajo se propone proporcionar información sobre la extensión del reshoring, así como sobre las razones de las empresas y los países para llevarlo a cabo. Los resultados muestran que es frecuente, pero que dista de ser generalizado y que suele estar acompaña­do de procesos más amplios de cambios tecnológicos y de estrategia empresarial.
