Economic impact of the Pandemic in Europe

Abstract

The objective of the work is to analyze the differential features of the economic crisis caused by the pandemic of Covid19, with special attention to its particularization in the European Union and in the Spanish economy. Special attention is paid to national economic policy decisions and those of a European nature by Community institutions. It concludes in the adaptation of those adopted by the European Central Bank (ECB), but in the need to complement those adopted by the Commission with a true reconstruction plan that, in addition to consolidating the recovery from the recession, strengthens the necessary modernization of the European Union (UE) economies in the energy transition and integration into the digital economy.
