Abstract

Sports federations are key players within the sports system of a country. A key factor for
their success lies in their capacity to plan and achieve their objectives and monitor the
extent to which those objectives are met. During this process, it is important to determine
the indicators that serve as standards for evaluation. The ability to identify such indicators
is essential for most sports federations, which undertake an increasing number of activities
with limited resources.
Consequently, the purpose of this paper is to examine the performance of sports federations
in Spain, focusing on three types of goals: Sports Development, Sports Success, and
Financial Management. Two models of multidimensional analysis were developed and then
applied to a sample of 30 sports federations.
