The new European regulation of digital intermediaries: Digital Services Act

Abstract

The objective of this article is to present the most outstanding aspects of the new European regulation in relation to digital intermediary services, in particular its responsibilities regime, the moderation of online content, the due diligence obligations depending on the type and dimension of the service and supervision by competent national and European authorities. Likewise, a tour of the ongoing regulatory development process in the different European institutions involved is carried out.
